Description du poste

The European Affairs Department informs all SNCF businesses about EU regulatory issues that may affect them and represent their interests towards the EU institutions and the relevant stakeholders at EU level, particularly on the following topics:

-          Transport policy (passengers and freight)

-          Environment / Energy / Climate

-          Infrastructure and financing

-          Digital agenda / Ticketing

-          Internal market / Passenger rights / Competition

-          Interoperability of the European railway system

-          Corporate and societal responsibility, social policy

What we offer

-          A full-time one-year French contract (Volontariat international en entreprise / VIE), which can be renewed for another year

-          A stimulating work experience in Brussels within an EU affairs office of a global transport company

-          The opportunity to quickly develop your skills in lobbying and knowledge of the transport sector


Profil recherché
  • Postgraduate degree in European studies, law, economics, political science

  •  Minimum 6-month to one-year professional experience in European affairs gained in an EU institution, an association, a consultancy, or in-house

  • Ability to cope with deadlines and work independently; reliable, well-organised, proactive, transparent, team player

  • Excellent understanding of the EU policy making

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; research skills

  • Proficient in written and spoken French and English

  • Interest in contributing to sustainable mobility in Europe

  • Desirable: knowledge of EU transport policy, prior experience in digital and data issues, knowledge of additional EU languages


Rétribution et avantages

Compensation is based on the VIE grid established by Business France
